NHS, SOCIAL CARE & FRONTLINE WORKERS' DAY JULY 5, 2021

The first NHS, Social Care and Frontline Workers’ Day takes place on Monday, 5 July 2021 on the anniversary of the day that the National Health Service (NHS) was born back in 1948.

To show gratitude to all NHS and front line services, communities and organisations across the UK are encouraged to support the day with a series of events to raise money to NHS causes.

Saltney Town Council is encouraging all schools, groups and community organisations to participate by hosting one or many activities on Monday, 5 July. 

There is a schedule of National events taking place on the day include a Two Minute Silence at 11:00am and Clapping our Heroes at 8pm.

Ideas and activities on the day you may wish to participate in could be

· National Toast to the Heroes

· Street, Garden and Village Parties

· Afternoon Tea

· Educational Activities – First Aid course

Registration of events can be made online How to register your event - NHS Frontline Day up until the 1 July.

Any Saltney Community Organisations taking part on the day may apply for a small contribution towards the event from Saltney Town Council to help fund the costs of any material or refreshments to a maximum value of £50 per organisation. Organisations wishing to be considered for funding will need to have registered their event online on the NHS Frontline Day website.
