Be Someone's Hero - Give Blood

The Welsh Blood Service is running a blood donation session on the 26 June, at the Saltney Community Centre, Saltney, at present we are really struggling to fill the available spaces, it’s only 18% full at present which is worrying. It only takes 10-15 minutes to donate blood however, every person that donates saves the lives of 6 babies or 3 people, so every share really makes a difference.

You get to find out your blood type and receive a text to tell you where your blood went and who it saved. We must supply 19 hospitals across Wales every day and we can’t do this without the hero’s that donate blood. If we don’t get over 350 donations of blood a day, we can go into amber alert situations so it’s extremely important that the community helps us.
