DEFIBRILLATORS

If someone is unconscious and not breathing normally, act fast:

1. Call 999 immediately Ask for an ambulance and follow the call handler’s instructions.
2. Start CPR Push hard and fast in the centre of the chest. Keep going until help arrives or the person starts breathing normally.
3. Send someone for the defibrillator Switch it on and follow the voice instructions. The device will only shock if needed.
